Obama Comes to OKC as Politicians Skip Town

OKC was all abuzz this week with a visit by the President that had the local Sheraton so locked down that even good liberals like myself couldn't get within a block of it. But where was the welcome mat from the good leaders of OK? A president sleeping in OK for the first time in over 20 years is quite an event.

Mary Fallin, the ever crazy Governor, decided to continue on with her vaction in Puerto Rico, and the Lt Govenor stayed in DC for a conference. http://www.okgazette.com/oklahoma/article-14759-obama-snubbed.html

It's probably a good thing they didn't show up to greet the President since we all know how his encounter with the even crazier Jan Brewer ended.

I'm just happy that Fallin could take a break from drinking rum to get a shot in at Obama:
The fact of the matter is President Obama’s rhetoric is matched with a policy record that is aggressively anti-energy and continues to stifle economic growth in Oklahoma and throughout the nation. The president urgently needs to reexamine his policies, not deliver more speeches taking credit for the accomplishments of others.

Of course, the best part of the trip came when a woman told Barack she was also born in Hawaii!
